Intern Admin and Customer Support (Unpaid)

Among our in-house products are Emebet Jobs, a platform dedicated exclusively to connecting women with employment opportunities, and Maraki, a community and lifestyle application that focuses on connecting Ethiopian and Eritrean locals and Diasporas to their motherland communities for dating, event gatherings, and gym junkies.

We are looking for an Intern Admin and Customer Support Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who loves to stay organized, enjoys talking to customers and solving their problems patiently, and is a good communicator. You will support our Customer Support Specialist and the team.

• Patient and empathetic approach to solving customer problems and answering inquiries.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Amharic and English.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple administrative tasks.

• Comfortable learning and using software tools for customer support and office management.

• Positive, professional attitude and a genuine desire to help people.

• Ability to collaborate with the Customer Support Specialist and the wider team, and accept feedback constructively.

• Previous experience in customer service, admin support, or a call center is a plus, but not required.

• Real-world customer support and admin experience on established products (Emebet Jobs and Maraki).

• One-on-one coaching and mentorship from the Customer Support Specialist and operations team.

• Exposure to the daily workings of a leading software development firm.

• Potential to transition into a full-time Customer Support or Admin role based on performance.

• Recommendation letter and certificate upon successful completion of the internship.
